Loaner Agreements
Loaner Agreements allow potential customers to try the specified vendor product, usually for a very limited time 90-180 days free of change in order to allow the customer to evaluate if they wish to purchase the product. In many cases the vendor will provide certain free services in an effort to ensure that the product is installed properly and that the customer's staff is given some orientation on the proper use of the product. The customer is required to buy or return the loaner product at the end of the specified trail period. It should be noted typically do not include a warranty coverage, nor in many cases an IP indemnity. Vendors often do not wish to accept that additional financial exposure until the customer has made a purchase commitment.
